The Clemson Tigers will be gunning for an 11th straight victory and a top spot in the upcoming College Football Playoff rankings when they face the North Carolina State Wolfpack on Saturday as 10-point betting favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

No. 3 Clemson rose three spots in this week’s AP Top 25 after handing Miami the biggest defeat in that school’s history, a 58-0 beating as 8-point road favorites. The victory improved the Tigers’ straight up conference record to 4-0, and halts a worrisome 1-3 run against the spread while forcing the point total OVER for a third straight week.

North Carolina State returns home for Saturday afternoon’s Tigers vs. Wolfpack betting matchup at Carter-Finley Stadium following a 35-17 win over Wake Forest, stopping a two-game SU and ATS losing streak, and improving their SU record to 5-2.

However, the Wolfpack have struggled at home in recent meetings with ACC opponents, going 1-8 SU in their last nine, 3-6 ATS, and are 1-10 SU in their last 11 against Clemson, 6-5 ATS.

No. 5 TCU will also be looking to gain ground on idle No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Baylor, and No. 4 LSU, when the Horned Frogs play host to the West Virginia Mountaineers on Thursday as early 14-point betting favorites. The undefeated Horned Frogs dropped one position in the rankings despite rolling past the Iowa State Cyclones by a 45-21 margin last week, covering as 20.5-point chalk.

The Mountaineers dropped their third straight October 17, both SU and ATS, with their 62-38 loss to the Baylor Bears, and are now 1-4 SU and ATS in their past five road contests. West Virginia is also 1-2 SU in its last three against TCU, but upset the Horned Frogs 30-27 in their last visit two years ago.

No. 8 Stanford will be looking for a seventh straight win by a double-digit margin when it visits the Washington State Cougars as 12-point chalk.

The Cardinal have won by an average margin of 21 points during their six-game SU and ATS win streak, while the Cougars have won three straight SU, and four straight ATS, but are winless in their past seven against Stanford, 2-4-1 ATS, according to the OddsShark College Football Database.

In other Week 9 college football betting action, No. 13 Utah will try to rebound from its stunning 42-24 loss to the USC Trojans when they host the Oregon State Beavers as 23-point chalk this weekend, while No. 9 Notre Dame visits the undefeated Temple Owls as 9.5-point favorites.
