Third torn ACL ends Bulls WR’s season

Colby Erskin‘s 2005 and 2007 seasons were washed out by torn ACLs in his left knee.

The South Florida receiver’s every-other-year injury curse struck yet again earlier this week, only this time in the other knee.

According to the St. Petersburg Times, Erskin suffered a torn ACL in his right knee as the Bulls prepped Wednesday for what would eventually be a loss to Big East rival Cincinnati, ending his 2009 season.

Erskin is not eligible for a medical redshirt, the Times reports, but he could apply for a sixth year of eligibility if he so desires.
