Penn State's starting QB Bolden KO'd

It appears that, if Penn State hopes to “hold on” and beat Minnesota, they’ll have to do so without their starting quarterback.

True freshman Robert Bolden was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with what was initially listed as an undisclosed injury.  Somewhat surprisingly, he was replaced by Matt McGloin, who threw a 42-yard touchdown pass on his first attempt in relief.

We say somewhat surprisingly as Robert Kevin Newsome had been listed as Bolden’s backup.

As the teams get set to open the second half, it appears as if Bolden is done for the game as he reportedly is suffering from concussion-like symptoms.

After two quarters of play, the Nittany Lions are up on the Gophers 21-7.
