Sprained knee won't sideline UGA's leading rusher

Downplaying his injury as “just a bruise”, running back Washaun Ealey proclaimed himself ready to go for Georgia’s annual rivalry game with Florida Saturday.

Ealey suffered a sprained MCL in his right knee during Georgia’s 44-31 win over Kentucky last weekend.  While UGA took the “precautionary measure” of holding Ealey out of some of Tuesday’s full-pad practice, the back proclaimed himself fully healthy and ready for the Gators.

It’s 100 percent,” Ealey said. “I’ve been running on it. Just trying to get it from being stiff and to get it back to its strength.”

“I know I’ll be playing,” Ealey added.

The sophomore leads the Bulldogs with 526 yards and seven rushing touchdowns.
