There’s some wonderful news coming out of Iowa City, as Hawkeyedrive.com reports that Iowa defensive coordinator Norm Parker will be present in the press box when the No. 18 Hawkeyes host No. 5 Michigan State.
Parker coached in Iowa’s season opening win over Eastern Illinois before having his right foot amputated in a battle with diabetes.
The 68-year-old coach has been on the Hawkeyes staff for 12 years and, hopefully, will be with them for many more years.
It’s great to see Parker back in Kinnick Stadium and we certainly wish him the best moving forward.
