Pot bust leads to suspension for Arkansas defensive starter

After starting the first seven games this season, Arkansas defensive tackle DeQuinta Jones will get a smoke break, so to speak, this weekend.

Jones was arrested earlier this week on a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge following an early-morning traffic stop.  Thursday, head coach Bobby Petrino announced that the sophomore would serve a one-game suspension against Vanderbilt.

“He’s suspended. That’s just how it is,” the loquacious Petrino said.

With Jones out of the lineup, junior Lavunce Askew will get the start.
