Knee injury sidelines Cal QB Kevin Riley

Some Cal fans had asked for it, and now they’ve gotten it.  Kevin Riley is no longer under center for the Golden Bears.

Although, to be fair, most would have preferred that it didn’t come via the injury rout.

In the first quarter of Cal’s game with Oregon State, the senior quarterback was knocked out of the game with an injury to his left knee.  He suffered the injury after completing a 32-yard pass.

A brace was placed on Riley’s injured knee and he was taken by cart into the locker room.  There is no word on when or if Riley will return.

He was replaced under center by Brock Mansion.  Cal currently trails the Beavers 35-0.
