Clemson's leading rusher out for at least two games

A year after playing in the ACC championship game, Clemson has all but been eliminated from the Atlantic Division race this season.

Now, they’ll have to deal with the elimination of their top offensive threat for a couple of games as well.

Running back Andre Ellington has a pretty significant case of turf toe and will be sidelined for at least the next two games.  It was initially thought that the injury was minor and would not prevent the back from taking the field this Saturday against North Carolina State, but apparently a further medical look into the situation caused a change in the prognosis.

(Well, that and the realization that the player has been hit by the infamous CFT jinx.)

Ellington leads the Tigers with 684 yards rushing and ten touchdowns on the ground.

He’s also the ACC leader in all-purpose yardage at nearly 129 yards per game.
