A&M loses leading rusher, possibly for the season

Ryan Tannehill helped right the offensive ship for Texas A&M over the weekend, but the win against Texas Tech came with a fairly significant price the Aggies will have to pay going forward.

Running back Christine Michael broke the tibia in his right leg during the third quarter of the school’s fifth win of the season.  While he’s not been ruled out completely, all signs point toward the sophomore being down for at least the final four games of the regular season.

Michael leads the Aggies 631 yards rushing, and is fourth in receiving yards with 174 (on 13 catches).

With Michael sidelined for the foreseeable future, Cyrus Gray is expected to get the bulk of the carries for the 5-3 Aggies.  Gray, a junior, is the second-leading rusher with 414 yards, and leads the team in rushing touchdowns with five.
