Trick shot QB officially named UConn starter

After throwing for a pair of touchdowns against MAC juggernaut Buffalo, UConn quarterback and trick shot guru Johnny McEntee has been given the starting job going forward from head coach Paul Pasqualoni.

McEntee, a former walk-on, had been competing with freshmen Michael Nebrich and Scott McCummings for the starting job. All three had seen playing time this year, but Pasqualoni said McEntee had separated himself from the other two over the past week.

On the year, McEntee has thrown for 613 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions.
