Rutgers fills out more of its coaching staff

New Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood continues to fill out his coaching staff as the Scarlet Knights begin looking toward spring practice.

Following reports that former Boston College tight ends coach/interim offensive coordinator Dave Brock would become Rutgers’ new OC, Flood has reportedly made an offer to another BC assistant. The Newark Star-Ledger reports that BC running backs coach Ben Sirmans will take the same role at Rutgers, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Additionally, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports that Bethune-Cookman offensive coordinator Ron Spence will join Rutgers as the new quarterbacks coach.

These two hires, if indeed true, would be in addition to Dave Cohen, formerly of Western Michigan and hired as linebackers coach, and former Delaware offensive line coach Damian Wroblewski, who will take over the same position.
