Nick Saban not happy with the media, so he berates them

I’ll gladly admit it: Nick Saban‘s simply the best. But for the very reason I love him so, I fear him like circus clowns.

Do not cross Saban. Don’t say anything he won’t like. Don’t look at him funny. You know what? Just don’t breathe.

That was the vibe Alabama media got on Wednesday when Saban began and concluded a short press conference by berating them over, among other things, not giving the Tide’s upcoming opponent (Western Kentucky) enough credit.

Glorious. Saban would go on to say the following:

“I hate to be negative with anybody, but when you people start writing stuff about people that we’re playing that doesn’t give them the proper respect, that’s not fair. It’s not fair to them, to their players who work hard. It’s not fair to our players who need to respect them.

“And to make any presumptions like you all make, really, really upsets me. It really does. It’s so unfair.”

Granted, it seemed like putting Alabama and Michigan on the same field last Saturday night was unfair too, and the college football world has been in love with the Crimson Tide since.

Here’s the link to the video of Saban’s presser, titled “Mount Saban erupts in his Wednesday press conference.” Keep in mind that when we say Saban “erupts”, it’s more like when your dad looks at you down his nose and says sternly “I’m not mad at you, I’m just disappointed” just before you slink off into your bedroom with your head down.

In the immortal words of Dana Holgorsen, “That sucks, man.
