A player instrumental in Florida’s upset of then-No. 4 LSU is one of two players to take home Walter Camp honors for their performances in Week 6 of the 2012 season.

Gator running back Mike Gillislee rushed for 146 yards and accounted for both of UF’s two touchdowns — a pair of 12-yard runs — in the 14-6 win to both claim Camp offensive honors and help push his team into the Top Five.  The Tigers had come into the game allowing just an average of 83 yards per contest in 2012.

On the other side of the ball, Oregon State’s Jordan Poyer claimed defensive honors for his play vs. Washington State.  In the win over the Cougars, Poyer tied a school record with three interceptions.  The Beavers’ fourth win of the season pushed OSU into the Top 10 of the latest Associated Press rankings (No. 10) and to No. 14 in the coaches’ poll.
