Crazy TD catch sends Duke bowling for the first time in nearly 20 years

The urge to write this entire post in all caps and/or italics is greater than you can understand.

Duke, at 6-2, is going bowling for the first time since the 1995 Hall of Fame Bowl after meeting the minimum win total to become bowl eligible.

The Blue Devils did it in dramatic fashion in a 33-30 win over arch rival North Carolina, no less. With just 13 seconds remaining, quarterback Sean Renfree completed a pass to Jamison Crowder for the 5-yard score.

Crowder made a spectacular catch over a pair of Tar Heel defenders to haul in the winning grab. To pull a sentence from the “words you never thought you’d utter” file, Wallace Wade Stadium was erupting.

What’s more? Duke is also in control of its own destiny in the ACC Coastal Division.

Our vote for Coach of the Year has already been cast for Penn State’s Bill O'Brien, but perhaps there’s a little room for David Cutcliffe too.
