Mike MacIntyre led one of the more dramatic turnarounds in college football beginning in 2010 when he took over San Jose State. In three seasons, the Spartans went from a one-win team to a 10-win team. Now, MacIntyre will be asked to orchestrate a major turnaround at another program.
Following up on reports from Monday, Colorado announced that MacIntyre would be the Buffs’ 25th head coach. It’s not yet clear if MacIntyre will coach SJSU in its bowl game.

Colorado fired Jon Embree after two years and was reportedly quite interested in Cincinnati’s Butch Jones. Jones eventually became the head coach at Tennessee.
Colorado hasn’t had a winning season since 2005.
