Johnny Football? Hangin’ with LeBron, of course

Last week, and after a series of Twitter-related brouhahas, Johnny Manziel confirmed in an interview that he had decided to take a sabbatical from tweeting, saying that the social media site is fun but “can get to be distracting at points.”

He didn’t, though, say he was taking a sabbatical from all forms of social media.

The weekend before he’s scheduled to throw out the first pitch at a Texas Rangers game, the Heisman-winning Texas A&M quarterback took in the San Antonio Spurs game against the Miami Heat Sunday night.  That (again) led to an epic sports photo-op: the reigning king of college football and The King, The Chosen One himself, LeBron James.

And, of course, the event was chronicled on Manziel’s Instagram account (eat it, Twitter):

Manziel LeBron

“I swear @kingjames is my dude I swear I try and tell ’em #love #mydog,” Manziel wrote.

Johnny Football: livin’ large and lovin’ life.  And God bless him for being a college kid who is (gasp!) having some fun with his newfound fame and handling it about as well as anyone possibly could.

Hate on, haters…
