In the midst of all of the injury and transfer news, there’s scheduling agreement that needs to be noted.
Syracuse and Wisconsin announced Thursday that the two football programs have signed on for a future home-and-home series. The Orange will visit the Badgers on Sept. 12, 2020, in Madison, with UW returning the game by making its first-ever trip to the Carrier Dome on Sept. 11, 2021.
“I’m excited for our football program, our student-athletes and our fans to announce this series,” Syracuse athletic director Mark Coyle said in a statement. “To add another chapter to the history between these teams and bring a program like Wisconsin to the Carrier Dome is important as we strive to give our student-athletes the opportunity to compete at the highest level.”
The teams have met each other five times in football, with the first meeting coming in 1941. The last meeting was in 1997 at old Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
‘Cuse holds a 3-1-1 edge in the all-time series.
