A berth in the Conference USA Championship Game will be on the line on Friday when the Marshall Thundering Herd visit the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers as 11-point betting underdogs at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Following last weekend’s bye, Marshall takes a 6-1 straight-up record in conference play into Friday afternoon’s Thundering Herd vs. Hilltoppers betting matchup at LT Smith Stadium. Marshall will be eager to avenge last season’s 67-66 loss to Western Kentucky as 23.5-point chalk which ended their run at a perfect season.

The Hilltoppers are undefeated straight up against Conference USA rivals in their last 10, outscoring opponents by an average margin of 26.5 points per game this season.

However, they have shown signs of weakness at the sportsbooks, failing to cover in three of their last five games while going a mediocre 2-2 against the spread in their last four games as double-digit favorites.

The battle for first place in Conference USA’s West Division will also be decided this weekend when the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles as 6-point betting favorites.

The Bulldogs improved their conference record to 6-1 SU last weekend, escaping with a 17-15 win over the UTEP Miners after being pegged as massive 25-point favorites. Louisiana Tech has won eight of nine SU overall, and 10 straight at home, going 8-2 ATS during that stretch.

The Golden Eagles will try to end a two-game SU losing streak as betting underdogs, but are 2-0 SU and ATS in their last two on the road, and have posted lopsided double-digit wins in each of their six victories during their current 6-1 SU run. However, the Bulldogs have recorded SU wins in the last two meetings between these clubs, and are 4-0 ATS in their last four.

In other Week 13 college football betting action, the AAC West division title will be decided when the Navy Midshipmen visit the Houston Cougars as slender 1-point underdogs. The Midshipmen take a perfect 7-0 conference record into Friday’s contest, 6-1 ATS, including a stunning 45-20 win over Memphis three weeks ago, while the Cougars saw their 11-game SU win streak end with a 20-17 upset loss in Connecticut.

Meanwhile, Temple can clinch the AAC East with a win over the Huskies this weekend.

The 6-1 Owls are favored by 12 points over visiting Connecticut and hold a one-game lead over the 5-2 South Florida Bulls, who visit the winless UCF Knights on Friday and can claim the division crown with a SU victory combined with an Owls’ SU loss.
