Buffalo’s Solomon Jackson hospitalized after ‘medical emergency’

Unfortunately, there’s some potentially serious and sobering news coming out of the Buffalo football program to report.

Monday, Solomon Jackson and his Bulls teammates were taking part in a team conditioning session.  At some point during the session, Solomon experienced what was described as a “medical emergency” and was taken via ambulance to a local hospital.

The Associated Press is reporting that Solomon’s status is not known.  The school’s newspaper, however, writes that Solomon is in critical condition.

“The university is in touch with Solomon’s family and hospital medical staff,” a UB official said in a portion of a statement.

As of this posting, the defensive end remains hospitalized.

Jackson started seven games last season as a sophomore for the Bulls after moving from linebacker to end. Six of those starts came in the last six games to close out the regular season.
