Don’t worry, you’ll have plenty — plenty — of time to prepare for this one if you’re a fan of either team.
Boston College announced in a press release that it has reached an agreement on a future home-and-home series with Stanford. The Eagles will face the Cardinal in Chestnut Hill on Sept. 2, 2028, with BC traveling to Stanford Stadium on Sept. 15, 2029.
The Eagles and Cardinal have met four times previously, with the last coming in 2002. The “series” is tied at 2-all.
BC last played a team from the Pac-12 in 2014 (USC), and have no schools from that conference on any of their future schedules. Stanford last played a team from the ACC in 2012 (Duke), and, like the Eagles, don’t have a team from that league scheduled in the future.
In its release confirming the series, Stanford noted that the Cardinal is 9-10 all-time against current ACC teams.
